Hi. I had a c/s on April 17, 06 for my DD. She went breech on me the week before I was due, and scheduled a c/s for that date. Now I'm due with my son on June 10th. With all my heart I wanted a VBAC. I knew thats what I wanted ever since I got the BFP. I recently talked to my OB because I was having so much doubt. She told me she really reccomends

I have BTDT. I just had my 3rd c-section on April 3rd. It is easier as you know more of what to expect. My oldest was 4 when we had our 2 year old and now i have a 6 year old a 2 year old and a newborn. When we had my 2 year old it wasnt too bad as he was older and more or less self sufficient. this time is a whole different ballgame. My 2 year old is of course acting his age and with having to try to lift him in and out of his high chair and trying to keep him off of my abdominal region is a constant thing to watch for. It isn't going too bad though, too be honest. your daugher should be able to understand mommy has an owie and you have to be careful for a little while. The only issue i had with this go round was severe anxiety and a big case of the butterflies as I was sitting in the wheelchair waiting to go to the OR. I don't know how well your recovery from your 1st c-section went, but I have apparently recovered freakishly quick after all of mine *I had nurses telling me to slow down in the hospital and the day after my 3rd was born I had people questioning if I was a patient*. I think you will be fine and might even want to show your DD your incision so she understands mommy's big owie. Best of luck and congrats!! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions!!~

Hi Chrissy - Welcome to the C section board! I'm not sure if you remember me, but my first DD, Kate, was an April Duckling! I can't believe how big Lizzy is in your siggy -- it's just amazing how quickly they grow up!

I had a C section with Kate, tried for a VBAC with Liam my second who was born 14 months after. I too knew in my soul that I wanted a VBAC so even though my pregnancies were close together I wanted to try. My doctor was very supportive, but like Kate my bith ended in a C section. With Kate I pushed for 4 hours with no success and although it was only an hour with Liam, I

Heidi! How great to see you!

Thanks to you both for the advice. I decided on c-section and told my OB at my last visit. She told me she'd have the date for me on the 5th (my next appointment).

I'm starting to get Lizzy 'prepped' for the big owwie that's going to happen, letting her know I won't be able to hold her as much, but tellnig her we can still snuggle side to side while I'm feeding Jacob, or just snuggle together laying in bed. I really hope she takes this transition well, as she's very independant but needs that picking up sometimes. I'm hoping DH will help a lot with this, he did great last time.

Hi I know I am piping up late in this, b/c you are getting your date today.

I had my 2nd c/s 5 weeks ago. It wasnt necessarily an easier recovery this time. I think it is about the same. I did not go through labor either time. I am pretty much back to normal at this point, but more sleep deprived.

My biggest advice is that if you are still picking up your dd on a regular basis to stop.
