Hi, I am a newbie here, but I have a little request from anyone who has "been there".

The whole experience is much calmer all around.

My husband LOVED being able to watch the surgery!

If you do research on C sections you can pretty much know what to expect. My experience is that vaginal birth never seems to end up the same way that you've read about it or envisioned it.

DTD is so much more comfortable after a section.

You get an extra 2 weeks off work.

Less risk for baby going into distress.

More reasons to ask for help at home. (I asked dh to bring me stuff because I knew I could, not because I couldn't)

I have had 2 vag. and this was a section. I much prefered the c-section. I tore 2nd degree with my middle child and it took a long time to heal down there. The pain and pressure to my crotch was intense and a couple stiches fell out after 2 days and the area never healed right. I would take another c any day.

Hi, I've had an emergency c/s, a vbac, and I have chosen a c/s this time on my own rather than another vbac.

I chose the c/s because I had a harder recovery from the vbac than the c/s.

You are in the exact position I was in when my son was born.

>> At the c/s delivery I was able to be more connected to her birth because I wasn't so busy doing it all. I laid there and heard her cry, felt her weight leave my body, got to clearly see her and hear her. <<

You made me tear up remembering that moment with my daughter. :)
