Did you consider a VBAC?

I was surprised at my appointment last week when my doctor brought up the possibility of having a VBAC.  I honestly hadn't given it a second thought!  Did anyone here consider a VBAC after having a c-section with a previous pregnancy? How did you make your decision?

I had a VBAC. For me, it was a no-brainer, since my c-section had nothing to do with labor issues (I was never in labor until the 2nd kid). My suggestion would be to consider why your c-section happened, and whether you think a VBAC likely to succeed. I found my VBAC recovery much easier than the c-section, and my doctor considered my c-section recovery good. Take good care of your health, whatever you go for.

I know several that have had successful VBACs, and I'm glad that you have a doctor willing to embrace it.  That's typically the biggest hurdle, I hear.

I am a completely different breed though because I actually chose my c-section after having horrible and traumatic vaginal births.  My c-section was so much easier for me, and I would never consider doing it any other way anymore.  Though, I am not going to have any more kids either. LOL  I had a tubal at my c-section, and will likely be having a hysterectomy soon too.  I go to the doc tomorrow to start discussing that process.
