Hi all I had my 3rd child 3rd c/s 9 months ago and it was scheduled. Does anyone have any pain in there back in the area of the spinal? I sometimes have a pain that feels like a bruise would feel if you pushed on it in between the spine where they would have put the spinal. I don't feel any lumps there and my husband says he doesn't see anything I've called the OB and he says he doesn't see it being conntected to

I am really sorry. yes, I have that and it hasn't gone away. I have had that for the last 6 years (4 spinals in 5 years time.) If you push on it, I can feel like I am going to pass out. I am certain, absolutely, without a doubt, it's from the spinal.

After my other c-sections I had horrible sciatica for months and months. This last time I had general anesthesia... and no sciatica!

I also woke up paralyzed with my second spinal.

And I had a spinal migraine for 6 weeks with my last spinal.

((hugs)) Maybe see a chiropractor? He/she might have some ideas?

Congratulations on your cute little guy!

I can't say that I've had that experience... but I hope that some other will post on this board who may have ideas

Unless it was a difficult spinal to put in, it most likely isn't from the spinal. More likely from carrying around a 9 month old and car seat, and the fact that your spinal alignment changes from pregnancy, and your ab muscles that support your back are weaker, and coinsidentally hurts where your spinal was...your lower back.

Thanks!! It doesn't hurt very often. One day I will wake up and it's more of a bruise type feeling then pain. It will be sore for one day and then the next day I won't feel it so it's really weird. I haven't had it hurt since I originally posted about it so it a big gap of when it hurts too!!
