Hi Katie - I think that's a great question for your doctor and that it's also important that you make him/her aware of your birth history. I also wonder - are you close to the hospital or quite a ways away? My understanding from conversations with my doc is that the risk of rupture from just going into labor is actually still very small -- even with a history of high order C sections.

I agree with the pp. The chance of something happening even if you go into labor is small. I had my first "planned" c/s at 38 weeks and my 3rd c/s at 39 weeks and my dr just told me if I go into labor just go to L&D don't even bother calling him. They'll page him. (I never did go into labor)Good Luck!!!
