holes in incision

I just had my second section two weeks ago. Let me start off by saying, the second one was ten times easier than the first. I didn't even need the pain meds at first. It was only when I started getting up and around that I really needed it. I have even stopped bleeding almost entirely. Which beats the 8 weeks from last time.

So the only nitpick I have about it is, they made me get the catheter before the spinal, even though I had asked them not to.

Wait, I have one more. The after care was awesome except the lady made me take off the bandage before I showered, and they had placed it on top of some hair, which unfortunately was like getting a bikini wax.

So, anyway, that part is over thank goodness. I even got to go home on day two.

Last time, I had a hole in my incision for a while. Can't remember how long as it was two years ago.

Now this time I have two small holes. How long should I expect them to stay there? They are getting smaller, and the nurse and the doctor said it was okay and probably due to the fact that I picked my two year old up, and split a little bit due to that.

So as long as my incision isn't red and swollen or hot to the touch, should I worry about it?

By holes do you mean separation in the tissue? I've never had that experience - when it happened last time did you doc want you to keep the steri strips on longer?

OK, at first it looked like the incision had just opened back up a little. So instead of it healing like it had been on the other side of my incision, you could still see the slit where they cut it.

Now, instead of the slit, there are two tiny holes, about the size of a tear drop maybe. Same shape too. So, I'd say most of it closed back up, but there is still a piece or two that is open a little bit. It doesn't hurt or anything, it just looks ooky.
