This will be my 3rd c/s. My 1st was emergency due to placental abruption. My 2nd was planned. My DS was 4 when I had #2 so he was really helpful. This time, they are 4 & 8! I spaced my pg far apart on purpose. Recovery isn't as bad as you think. Just getting from laying to standing the first week, ice packs help A LOT. I was due 4/22 with 2nd and I scheduled 4/14. This time I'm due 7/6 and scheduled 6/29. A week early is what most OBs do, unless you go into labor on your own before that.

Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy!

I think that your dates sound pretty typical. Docs like to schedule around 39 weeks or so... so the 15th looks fairly normal.

As for recovery - I had a 19 month old when my DD was born. I certainly needed help for that first week or so, but the recovery really isn't that bad beyond those first few weeks. Take any help that you can get and do anything in advance (freezing meals, etc.) that you can! It will help regardless of delivery method! Congrats again and let us know how your birth goes...

Thanks ladies for your words of wisdom. I really appreciate it. I will let you all know how the delivery goes. I still have some time to let it all sink in.
