okay ladies...I am really hoping someone can help me out here...I am currently 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my 5th child...I had a cesction 12.5 years ago due to a breech presentation.

Wow - that's interesting. I suppose that you don't have a ton of options (in terms of changing doctors) because you're so far along in your pregnancy. Is this a new doc for you... because I would have thought that you addressed this issue with your prior births.


Well, first off, I don't think you HAVE TO accept an induction. I'd ask your doctor if they'll let you go to 42 weeks with monitoring -- biophysical profiles and ultrasounds -- until something is specifically medically indicated that the baby needs to be born. With my second (my VBAC attempt) my DS was 8 days late by my dates and my doctor had no issue with it at all because everything looked just fine with him. :) Also - try all those "getting labor started" things. Sex and a lot of walking finally worked for me!


You may consider cross posting your message on the VBAC board. Those ladies may have some BTDT ideas for you!
