Kicking Postpartum Pre-Eclampsia to the curb! :)

Yay! Had my follow up visit at the MDs today. My BP went down to 130/85. Not the best, but definitely within the normal range and a heck of a lot better than my 168/110 a week after delivery!

So we're sticking with the meds on the dosages I'm on (which is minimum for each). :)

I am experiencing some chest pain, but we think I pulled something with picking up Addison - either with the carrier or the swing, etc. It's not a constant hurt, more like a pulled hurt and it hasn't gotten worse. So he said to take some advil.

And that's that, lol. I'm so glad my BP has come down. He does recommend that I purchase a BP monitor for at home though. So we'll do that this weekend. I'm telling you, if it's not one thing it's another. I knew I got away with too easy of a c-section delivery. ;)

Thank goodness! I'm glad to have a bp monitor at home. After weeks of worry with pre-e, I'm beginning to understand how bp can affect how you feel. Sometimes when I feel really tired or nauseated I'll check it and it will be low (like 85/57 or something). Crazy to have numbers like that after I got used to seeing ones like yours.

Yay! That's pretty good! I've had those 160s/100s readings and I know how scary it feels. I also know you must feel great to know that its finally down! Maybe before long this will all be just a fuzzy memory. :)

Glad your BP is coming back to normal!

And my back seems to be in a constant state of pain having to pick up LO all the time. Trying to pick them up and carry them in that infant car seat nearly kills me every time. I actually just ordered Charleigh's convertible car seat cause I just can't carry her in the other anymore!!

Oh I think infant seats are for the birds! I wasn't able to carry our's for so long because it was so big and heavy, plus I couldn't get it in and out of our pick up until like 10 weeks so we just left it snapped in. By that time LO was so used to the Moby wrap and I loved having him so close with my hands free, we just never used his baby seat as a carrier. We used the Moby wrap until he was about 6 months old. That was when he was able to sit up easily in the grocery basket seat.

Yeah - we'll likely switch soon. I did with my son. It's nice at first, but as they get heavier, so does the carrier! LOL

See now, Addison screams with the moby. :( I did just pick up an Infantino carrier that can be used 5 different ways. I think she likes that position better. Maybe because she's not as covered?

My baby loves the Moby too, but if I put her facing me, it's too much "temptation" for her. LOL She thinks she has to eat if there's any skin available! LOL

I can see how that would be inconvenient, Jennifer! LO wasn't really like that when he was smaller but he sure is now! Nothing like having an 11 month old try to dive into your strapless bridesmaid dress in front of a crowd! DH said the poor kid was eyeing my boobs the whole time!

OMG, Manda, that's going to me this coming weekend!! LOL Some people don't have a sense of humor for that.

I remember when DS#2 was a baby, I was holding him and talking to my friend (that is getting married this weekend), and he reached his hand right down my shirt. She looked horrified! (I think he was close to a year old then too.) And I was like, "They're his, he doesn't know any different!" LOL I think she still thought I had a little perverted baby though. LOL
