I wanted to share this here cause I thought it might be helpful to anyone who is faced with a c-section that wasn't expecting it, and is nervous and scared about it.

I already posted on the TTC&BF board but congratulations again. I had my third c/s (first planned c/s) 3 months ago and it was nice to finally have a good birth! So I can relate.

Good for you for having a positive experience! I don't know of anybody really who actually enjoyed their c-section, so it sounds like you are very lucky! If I cannot have

Thank you!

I think for me it was because it was so much less traumatic for me than my vaginal experiences. There was obviously pain involved, and it's definitely not the "ideal" way to birth babies. But, I had already been through 3 vaginal deliveries; 2 of which I would NEVER, EVER, EVER want to go through again. And the one that I considered my good one, I still feel like my c-section was a better experience than that.

So, for ME, it was a good thing. And I'm really glad I went with my gut on that. But, I would definitely recommend to anyone who's never had a vaginal delivery to give that a try first if they can, cause I know they aren't always traumatic like mine were. And, I was hoping that by sharing my experience here that maybe someone who has to have a c-section won't be so terrified and will know that it doesn't have to be an awful experience.

I hope you get your VBAC next time though, if that's what you are hoping for!! GL!!!!
