Nervous, 4th c-section March 1st

My dr scheduled my c-section (my 4th) for March 1st, and i am getting very nervous. I have a different dr this time around than i did with my other 3, and will be having my baby at a different hospital as well. I am trying not to stress myself out but it's hard when 2 of the dr's in the office (i see 4 + a midwife) have said that they get 'nervous' after the 3rd c-section. I guess i am just hoping someone will reassure me that all will go well.....

Congrats on your upcoming C section... and baby #4. I have had 3 C sections and I'm hoping to be planning my 4th in the not too distant future. I understand that you feel some concern with increasing numbers of C sections -- that is normal, and there are increasing risks, but remember that the vast majority of women are just fine! There are plenty of women who have posted here who have had in upwards of 6,7 or 8 sections...

Good luck to you... and please let us know how it goes!!

We will be having our 4th c-section Tuesday Feb 2nd. I am so nervous!! Your not alone!! My doc delivered our 3 via c-section and he is still uncomfortable doing a fourth.

Congrats on your 4th C coming up here soon! I hope it goes well for you and that your doctor doesn't "act" nervous. I'm sure that my confidence partly comes from my doc telling me that she's done lots of 6th and 7th Sections for women...

Keep us posted! :)

Yes, i definetely don't want a nervous dr on the day of my c-section, that's for sure! If all goes as planned, the dr i am scheduled to have said that she has performed lots of c-sections, and she doesn't seem super concerned, but i am just worried about getting a different dr if i go into labor before my scheduled date.

Hi welcome to the board and congrats on your suprise #4!!! I've had 3 c/s and when my dr said during my last c/s that I could only have 1 more baby. (which is fine we only wanted one more ;p

Aww thanks :) I think they are cute too, (but then, i am their mom, lol) Your boys are adorable :)

My dr didn't mention anything last time around about any complications or thin spots on my uterus, and at the time i really wasn't thinking about having any more babies lol, so i didn't even ask, honestly.

I know my current drs have my medical history from my previous dr, so i am *hoping* they would have mentioned if he had written anything about that (but maybe i should ask when i go to my next appt).

It's hard, because no one in my family has had c-sections and only 1 of my friends has had 1, so i don't have anyone outside of the boards to talk to about multiple c-sections, and my worries. I am trying to put my all of my trust in my dr(s) that they will take care of me and the baby, but you know, with being pregnant, I can't help but worry even more than usual.

I just want smooth sailing :)

Thanks Teralee for the encouragement~it really helps to hear from someone who has 'been there' :) And congrats on your pregnancy!

That is pretty interesting about the adhesion barrier, i haven't heard of that before, but it sounds like a good decision on
