This isn't related to my c-section, but figured I'd give you all the lowdown of why I've been MIA.

Oh no! I'm sorry about your foot! I hope it's not something really serious, and it gets better for you quickly!! You definitely don't need to be dealing with something like that right now.

Yes, your baby is getting big!! Charleigh just went Friday for her 6 mos and she was 26 1/2 inches long, so your 3 mos old is not far from catching her!! :)

I'm glad she gave you that long stretch of sleep too!! Hopefully, it will continue for you!! Mine doesn't STTN, but none of my babies ever have before being weaned. I take personal responsibility for it. I think I condition them very early on to nurse through the night, and then I'm not brave enough to actually do anything about it when they are big enough to sleep all night long. LOL

I'm ready to decorate too. I'm really excited about the holidays this year!! I actually bought Charleigh's Halloween costume today cause I saw one that I thought was so adorable, and a little different than what I typically see. It's Bo Peep's Sheep! LOL Adorable!! Here's a link to what I got:

Oh Jennifer, that's sooooo cute! LOL I have to say, as I'm sure you are undoubtedly aware of, girls are so different from boys, and I am LOVING having a little girl! LOL I got Addison this for Halloween: http://www.carters.com/carters/Kitty-2-Piece-Costume/V_127-661,default,pd.html?cgid=carters-baby-girl-halloween-new-arrivals. Although I'm mad because I paid about $22 in Kohl's and Costco had the very same ones for $13. Too bad they didn't have the 6mos size or I would have returned mine and got it there. :/

Awwww, so sweet!! I was just telling dh last night how impressed I am with the quality of the Halloween costumes now compared to when we were kids. And I only paid $13 something for the one I got, and it's really nice. Remember we had to wear those thin plastic costumes with the plastic masks you couldn't breathe out of. They be all ripped and ruined by the end of the night! LOL

Anyway, YES, I am loving having a girl too!! I'm really happy to finally get to experience both sides of parenting!! My boys are awesome, but I would have been sad to have never gotten to experience a daughter too!!

We were just talking about those costumes because my son is saying he doesn't want to dress up this year and I was thinking that one of those costumes would have been perfect for him at this point, lol!

I completely agree with you. I love my lil man and was so happy that I had a boy first (because I always wanted a boy then a girl simply because I always wanted to have an older brother, lol!) but then after his surgery and issues we weren't sure if we were going to have another and I was sort of sad that I may lose out on having a girl. We were definitely completely shocked that we were having a girl. And I can't believe how much my son loves her! But then, we let him "practice" on my niece (she'll be two on Halloween) and we saw that he was gentle with her, etc. But she is definitely starting to boss him around! LOL He told me the other day, "I think we should have another sister." I thought he was going to tell me that we need to return Addison. LOL He instead said, "She's so cute!" ;) Of course, wait until she's walking and talking and GRABBING his stuff! Then let's see how cute he thinks she is! LOL

Oh my gosh that's the cutest little lamb I've ever seen!

So how is the foot? Did you hear yet? Could it be gout? The constant throbbing/burning pain sounds a little like gout... Hope it's something easily fixable!

Manda :)

Manda, I need to stop talking to you. Baby acne, gout... sheesh. ;)

Not sure yet, though the doctor thinks nerve. No fracture (x-rays normal). I got my first steroid shot yesterday. She said I may need two more (some people need a series of 3) but we'll see. It's not definite, just a 'you may' type deal in case I don't feel any better.

The shot was similar to the spinal. Felt the same, lol. Yes, I'm a big chicken. LOL

I should see a difference in two more days if it worked. Keep your fingers crossed! :)
