I just ran across this article and thought it would be helpful to share here because I'm sure many people can relate to her plans of a natural childbirth ending in c-section due to an uncooperative baby.

Interesting. That's pretty much the position my baby was in, although she was transverse up high (she never engaged). Her feet were up by her head (actually they were behind her ears). We have to see an orthopedic on Friday to check her hip because of that. :/

I think because I was told that she was breech starting at 30 weeks I sort of saw it coming. Each week we'd check and each week she was still at the top fo my uterus, happy as a clam, lol. Some weeks her feet were down, but at the end, they were up at her head. THAT makes me sad to think that she got stuck like that. :( But it is what it is and she's perfectly healthy and I'm glad we went the c-section route, even though it wasn't what I went into the pregnancy expecting. :)

Feet behind the ears!! OUCH!!! I hope her hips check out just fine!! I had a personal friend whose baby had hip displasia and had to be in the spica cast for a couple of months. It was a hard time for them, I know!

My ds# stayed breech until 38 wks, and flipped in time for a vaginal delivery. He never engaged either, and even through the induction I was threatened with a c-section every time they did another cervix check. His final position ended up being posterior, and it made for a VERY painful delivery. :(

But, his breech position was his head was in my right rib, and his butt was at my left hip. Then his feet would generally hang out around my cervix, and he would kick and it would literally pick me up out of my seat! OUCH!! I didn't like that position at all! LOL

Glad your LO is healthy though, and really hoping the hip checks out perfectly!!
