I ended up having to have a c-section two and a half weeks ago. The incision is healing well but above the cut is a "lip" that is swollen. Has anyone had this and will it eventually go away?!

It's hard to tell from your description, but yes -- I did have swelling around my incision after my sections. It typically went away in about 6 weeks or so -- but it did eventually disappear! I hope yours goes away too --

Thank you! Hopefully this will eventually disappear too.

Yes, it should disappear. After my first c-section, my stomach literally went flat right after the surgery.

Within 6 hours though, it started to swell. Even my family noticed that my stomach went from flat to swollen.

Two weeks later, I still had fluid leaking from my wound. It apparently can take a long time for all that stuff to get out of you.

I promise, your stomach swellng will get much better.

I think doctors give you the worst case scenario, that way if your body doesn't look exactly the same, you don't freak out and say well you told me I'd be normal again.

I lost all my weight, although let me tell you, my body isn't the same though.

Certain parts have shifted to other parts, and other parts have just disappeared altogether.

I'm sure it will get better.
