I would check with your doctor. I think the general recommendation is after you check out ok at your 6 week checkup. I know how you feel, I'm going to have cs #3 in late Sept or so, and I'm dreading not being able to exercise for awhile. But I would think that after 2.5 weeks you are still feeling the after effects of surgery, and your incision site is still pretty sore! Maybe you could just do some walking in your neighborhood.

I had a c-section on June 14 and I'm also itching to start exercising. I just completed two 8-month pregnancies back-to-back and my abdominal muscles are shot. I only had six weeks after my daughter was stillborn before I got pregnant again.

Everyone has warned me how much the c-section incision hurts, but mine really hasn't been bad. I never hurt going over bumps or anything. I did have trouble coughing at first, but that's all better now. I am planning to start some light weight training at six weeks, but I'd love a reason to start sooner. I'd love any feedback others can provide.

I was given the go ahead at two weeks after my c-section. Of course I was told to use common sense and if it hurts, don't do it. I started walking and at about three and a half weeks I started some exercise videos (i.e. 'Bounce Back After Baby' and 'Walk Away the Lbs'). I am now six weeks post partum and have lost about 40 lbs. Oh, and I just started doing crunches again.

However, my first c-section was unplanned and I developed an infection and was unable to exercise at all for at least two months, so each one is different. I've just healed very quickly this time

With DS they told me to go ahead and start walking after my 2 week appointment, but I really was in no pain unless someone pushed on the incision really hard. They did say to wait till 6 weeks to join a gym, and start doing any major aerobic workouts or weights.
