Welcome to the board. I am so sorry you are having difficulty conceiving this time around. Scar tissue can have minor to major complications and fertility issues can be one of them. I had difficulty conceiving the 3rd time around, however, my complications were caused by Depo provera birth control injections and not my previous c-section. I went off of Depo and had a difficult time regulating my system again. A couple things that worked for me, was I charted my cycles, I used a online charting tool and it was helpful to print them off and take them to my doc to look over and discuss with me, I also insisted on a day 21 progesterone test, not sure if you had one of these done but it shows if you are ovulating. I conceived the month we did the 21day P test and I also used ovulation test prediction kits and they were nice and accurate.

I'm sure this is a very difficult time for you. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

I haven't, but I have heard that in very rare cases it can be an issue. Many women who have vaginal deliveries also suffer from some difficulty concieving again though.

So sorry your having issues, sending you lots of P&PT's for a successful pregnancy and healthy baby soon :)

I believe "secondary infertility" (I think that's what it is called but don't quote me on it) is not rare but not un-heard of either for both women who have had vaginal and cesareans. I'm very sorry you're having such a tough time TTC #2 and I hope you are blessed with another baby very soon. ((HUGS))

I haven't had it happen to me, but I certainly worry about it. I've only "met" a few women online who have actually had secondary fertility attributable to C section - one of them actually had a doctor move her ovary out of place -- or something like that. (Seemed odd to me, but that's what she said.) I wonder how long you have been TTC? My BFF was PG on the first try with #1 but waited 6 months to get lucky with #2 -- sometimes that's just how things work out-- I've read that the average couple with good BD timing only has a 25% chance of getting PG any one cycle. Anyhow, I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this. Sending you TONS of baby dust and hoping that you have

I didn't have any problems conceiving with my first child (I think it was a conversation ;o), but it took us three years of trying to conceive our second child.
