Sex & tub baths after cs? When is it ok?

My OB said no sex for 4-6 weeks, but that is a big range. Is it safe at only 4 weeks if I feel okay? Also, she said no tub baths for a couple of weeks. It has been 14 days and I was wondering if it is safe now? I know I should have asked more questions, but at the time, I was a little out of it and just wanting to go home from the hospital.

Thanks!

I don't remember about the bathtub but we were told 2 weeks for sex. As long as most of the bleeding has stopped.

i've had 2 c/s and the reason no baths is to reduce infection sitting in the water and letting the soap and other stuff in the water could lead to an infection........as for sex i waited till after my 2 week check up and got the dr. ok before we resumed as normal lol it wasn't normal for awhile but i won't go into detail lol

Thanks. At my one week appt., my ob said to come back at 5-6 weeks for another ck up. I am still bleeding just a little and it will be 3 weeks on Tues the 20th. I can't imagine I would have to wait another several weeks. Maybe we will wait one more wk and try at 4 weeks. Our anniversary is next Tues. and I was hoping it would be okay then.

You guys are lucky! My dr. said 6 weeks for an orgasm as it could reopen the incision. I must admit, we only waited 4 and it was fine. :) Because I had tried to have the baby vaginally and had dilated to 5, I was on the same restrictions as vaginal births about baths, etc. That was 6 weeks too. :( Ree
