I hope someone know the answer to this question cause i was wondering the same thing!i did use my husbands beard trimmer(lol-he doesn't know!)just to cut down on the length of hair down there(i know, tmi)but i really want to shave if it's alright to do that.I am tired of having the au naturel look going on "down under". Hello ladies,

I don't know what the correct answer is here but I know that I shaved on the incision after all the scabbing was gone and when it wasn't tender anymore, although it still bothers me to shave the right side of it. I hate that numb feeling!!! Anything below my incison I shaved right away with a razor. That was just my experience! HTH

Hi Ladies,

I shaved for my 6 week apt. My doc just looked at the incision......really though......they don't care if you shave or not.....They've seen there share of shaved, trimmed, hairy as can be!

I say if you feel comfortable shaving then go for it. Take your time and you'll be fine. The numb feeling is weird also.

Good luck!

well, i just shaved down there on saturday-2 weeks after my c section. i didnt actually shave the incision itself, but i shaved right around it. id think as long as you dont have stitches or staples still there-you could go ahead and do what you normally do.
