Sore skin after a C-section?

I was hoping someone might me able to help me, as I'm starting to worry. I had my second C-section about 6 weeks ago. No infection, the stitches are dissolved, and really no major problems at all. My question is, I'm having soreness around my incision area, but not the incision itself. No numbness, but sore, my skin feels like a sunburn. It's above my incision, but below my belly button. I don't have muscular pain, and I can walk, exercise, etc. but the skin is tender. The Dr. went over my old scar, so it's not a "new" incision. I don't remember having this at all after my first section, and was wondering if it's because it's my second section and it may take a little longer to heal? I'm also hoping it isn't anything serious like major nerve damage! Help!

I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. It sounds like you're having a fairly normal healing experience. I had my 3rd C section 3 months ago and I'm still sore around my scar. It disappears with time...

Congratulations on your new little one!

It's likeley the nerves are just re-knitting themselves. Nerve pain tends to be stingy/burn-y. I'm sure it'll subside, but may take a while. Magnesium and B12 supplements will help!
