When you had your c-section?

For my c-section, there was my OB, about 3-4 nurses, the anesthesiologist, ME of course-lol, my dh, and then a teenage girl. LOL So about 9 people total.

The teenage girl was sort of a special circumstance thing, and kind of funny. Evidently she had "won" the opportunity to attend a real live surgery because she was a high school student and her chosen career path was medicine. And I guess, a c-section was the easiest type surgery for her to witness.

So, they asked me if I minded her watching, and at that point, I really didn't care who was there. LOL But, from what I understand, she didn't even make it in the room for the whole delivery. LOL Poor girl. She waited outside in the hallway, and peeked back in once the baby was born and then left completely.

Then that started the doc and nurses discussing their first experiences in the O.R. It was sort of amusing, and if I hadn't of been the actual person being operated on, I might have appreciated the conversation better. LOL

All I know of are the surgeon (who was not my OB), the anesthesiologist, and DH. I don't even know of any nurses, though I hear that after the baby got taken away (after a quick view & a 3-second touch) there was a kind nurse who took the first poloroid & gave it to DH.

With E, I just don't remember. With F, there was the attending OB, two residents, three or four nurses, the resident anesthesiologist, the attending anesthesiologist was there in the beginning, then left, DH, and I. I have to say I was glad to see that after the attending anes. left, DH was the only man in the room.

For sure, I know there were 7: Dh, anesthesiologist, ob, midwife, my nurse, student nurse, pedi. But it seemed like there were a lot more because there were a lot of voices and it seemed crowded and hectic. I'm guessing there would have been at least 1 pedi nurse and maybe some or techs.
