an unplanned or an emergency c-section? How do you think your experience compares with others you have spoken to who had a similar circumstance?

Thanks
My c-section was "planned" but kind of "unplanned" too. We had planned for Friday, March 4 at 8:00 a.m. However, my baby started trying to come on Wednesday, March 2, and so my doc bumped my c-section to March 3rd since I was in labor, had a slow leak, and had signs of infection. I had hoped to skip the whole "labor" part by having a planned c-section, but instead I was having contractions that were 2-3 mins continuously apart for nearly 24 hours before the delivery! LOL
I think my c-section went even better than most people. I do think with it not being a rushed emergency situation that it helped too, and my doc knew the trauma I had been through with my other deliveries and understood why I was choosing the type of delivery I was, so he was very vigilant to try to give me the best experience possible. He did great!! My pain with my c-section was never anything that was just unbearable, and for the most part I stayed very comfortable throughout the whole process. Very thankful for that!
My favorite part about the c-section was just how peaceful the actual delivery was. In my other deliveries I was in so much pain, fear, and was just screaming out of control that I couldn't really "enjoy" the moment. With the c-section the attitude was light and happy. It was very quiet and tranquil when she came out, and the only screaming in the room was the baby crying (which is what you WANT to hear) and not me! So, I was able to just really take in the moment and enjoy the experience vs. my other deliveries!
