I second all the previous things, but the one thing I add is that, even if you are feeling fantastic, don't take that as a signal that you are okay and ready to get back to your regular routine. Everytime I felt fine and started doing a bunch of things (like dishes, a load or two of laundry, etc.) then the next day I would usually be in serious pain. When you are feeling good, just keep resting!!! Give your body a full few weeks (more if possible) in order to really heal well. Don't be afraid to ask for help and be specific. You may be surprised at how much people are wanting to help, but aren't sure with what things you would be comfortable with. I've learned that it is okay to ask friends to come do my laundry or make some meals or give my other kids a bath. Or heck, just watch kids while I take a long nap!
