Once you got home, did someone stay with you?

I cooked a bunch of meals ahead of time and put them in the freezer. My mom and sister came while I was in the hospital and my sister cleaned the house (which was pointless because boy was I nesting that week before!!!). I expected my mom to stay for a week (she had 2 c/s and

The first time, we lived in California so my husband used the paid family leave to stay home for seven weeks. It was awesome! Also my brother and SIL cooked a whole bunch of meals and brought them to us when we got home from the hospital. This time, we live in Utah (so no paid leave) but my husband had saved up about 2.5 weeks of sick/vacation leave and we used that. My dad (who is retired) took Elizabeth during the day for awhile. Then he took her after her nap for awhile. Now he just takes her after her nap twice a week like he did during my pregnancy.

I had an advantage that I think a lot of c-section moms don't have, in that I did know ahead of time it was most like going to be
