Simon Cowell recently admitted to Ryan Seacrest that he does not want to witness the birth of his child.  How does your husband/partner feel about this topic?  Does he want to be in the room? Witness the birth?

My hubby doesn't have a choice. Hahahaha! I mean, he doesn't have to be down in the trenches, but I'd want him at least up by my head holding my hand. He's my labor coach too, and he's great, so I don't think it'll be an issue.

I think it should be up to each man. If he's uncomfortable, that should be respected. I feel sorry for men who get peer pressured into being at the birth. Also, for a hospital birth it is especially important to have a coach who genuinely wants to be there, not someone going through the motions who would sooner be elsewhere.
