i'm going to out the name of my provider because they're made of awesome.

it's twin tier women's health team, in elmira, ny.

i told the nurse in my "pregnancy interview" this morning that i would prefer to vbac over having a repeat c/s and she said that the OB (the ONLY ob in the practice; 2 CNP's and 2 CNM's) would be supportive of that.

furthermore, when i asked what would happen if i went into labor on an evening or weekend, the nurse said, "doesn't matter. he'll come in. he always does for his vbac patients."

wow.

oh i am hiring a doula. i'm going to be making calls for interviews this weekend.

and i'm seeing a chiropractor. i've had low back pain ever since my c/s so i'm going to see if she can help me out. she's recommended by my ob practice.

and i'm taking prenatal yoga, eating healthy, and increasing my walking by wearing a pedometer.

i'm doing everything i can on my end to make sure i'm in the best physical shape possible so if i do end up having a repeat c, it's not because i left something on the table.

yesterday, i was having an issue and had to go in for a u/s and a u/a. they kept the office open for me, and then said they didn't need to see me for four weeks. with my pregnancy w/dd, if you went in for some kind of interim appointment, you still kept all your regular ones. these guy and gals seem to be fairly low-intervention-friendly.

i'm also using chiropractic, yoga, and diet to try to bring my body into alignment to support a natural birth.
