Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm so sorry for your previous loss. I lost my firstborn in labor many years ago and I know how difficult this journey is for you. (In case anyone is wondering, I had undiagnosed preeclampsia. My dr didn't catch it at any of the appointments.)
Most drs won't induce a vbac. My mw recommended red raspberry leaf tea and evening primose oil capsules. They helped me go into labor on my own (I never had previously and mw couldn't induce me even if she wanted to). Drs will induce using a foley catheter and many women on here have had successful vbacs with induction.
Talk to your dr about your choices in induction or decisions on when to induce as your pregnancy progresses. Let us know how you are doing.
Joan, congratulations on this pregnancy gift! Your story touched me, and I hope for nothing other than a healthy baby in your arms on Birth Day!
I'm not an expert on these things, so I am curious what the reasoning is for inducing you before 40 weeks--is this common with high risk pregnancies?
Some thoughts based on what you wrote below--there's no reason to think you wouldn't have a successful VBAC since you did deliver your second baby vaginally. (Your body's going to be saying, 'been there, done that!') If you DO decide to try for a VBAc,
Congratulations on your prenancy! I know this is a difficult time for you dealing with your previous pregnancies. I hope you're feeling well and everything is good for you and the baby. I hope you'll stop by often and let us know how you're doing!
