Anyone here ever do it? I am planning to have my 2VBAC at home, I have been wanting to have a water birth so badly so I am gonna give it a shot! :) Just curious how your home birth's went? Any recommendations?

I had a HBAC! I unfortunately didn't have access to a nice warm tub during labor (my bathtub is too small and uncomfortable) but I was dying for it! Next time I want to have a birth pool! I think you will love it.

Congrats and good luck!

My Midwife is very positive and feels it will all work out fine. My first VBAC was uneventful, thank god! I am hoping the water really helps with the pain, I really wonder if I can handle the pain.

Hi, Dani-

Have you checked out the Homebirth board?

There are some pretty amazing and inspiring birth stories there.

I had my 3rd VBAC, first homebirth last April. It was amazing. My only regret is that I hadn't done it before. My beautiful girl gave me a hard time with 18 hours of labor because she was trying to come out face up and crooked, which wasn't working due to her size. But she was born in a water birth tub in her future bedroom to the sound of chirping birds in my backyard and in my arms. My wonderful midwives (I had 2 since 1 was training) intermittently checked her heart rate and it never faulted. She was 9 pounds 4 ounces and I had no tears or anything. Afterward the midwives cleaned up and drained the tub, fixed me some food and brought it to me in bed, did a load of laundry, and left me with my baby. They came back the next day and day three to check on me and baby. Everything was awesome! Funny thing is that the idea of pain medicine never occurred to me during the whole thing since I wasn't in the hospital where that would have been an option. I highly recommend home birth. Oh, and the fact that it was a VBAC never even crossed my mind or worried me a bit, unlike my previous 2 VBACs in hospitals.
