Hi ladies! I just want you all to know that I am still here and hoping and praying and striving for a VBAC. I came here a few months ago, in great need of support, as I could not find a VBAC supportive OB or a MW who had VBAC support that would travel to my home. I finally ended up deciding to go the Vanderbilt Midwives in Nashville (about and hour from my home).
Though I was hoping for a homebirth, I decided that this seemed like a good step for me to take since the midwives their are very supportive. I had the chance to meet up with The Farm midwives but decided I was happy with the Vanderbilt ones. Since the farm is a 3 hour drive there and 3 hours back.... Vanderbilt is more accessible to me and my family. So- I will be birthing in the hospital again but I hope that with VBAC support of my Midwife and mine and my husbands determination to VBAC and not give into temptations that could raise my risk of CS... that I will have a successful VBAC. I think that if I can prove to myself and my family that I can birth this baby without meds and have a successful VBAC.... that next time I will be able to strive for that home birth!
Anyways- I am now in my 2nd Trimester (as of today!). I still feels ages away from that due date but I know it will be here before I know it and I just want to say that I so much appreciate this board. Every success story that goes up gives me more hope that this baby will be a successful VBAC and every story that goes up that isnt a VBAC success story reminds me that int he end- it is about having a healthy baby that really matters. I dont post much here but I am here and so thankful for all you ladies who have VBAC and who are hopeful to VBAC. :) Its so nice to see woman who want to VBAC and know that I am not the only person who is fighting making every birth another CS.
