Preggers Again, 2VBAC

I am still trying to decide if I want to have a water birth at home or have my 2VBAC at a hospital. I of course worry about the stupid crap our OBs put into our heads. I know I will regret not having the water birth I have wanted but I dont want to worry while in labor that if something goes wrong that I am not in a hospital. Any advice would be great! BTW my first VBAC was great, no complications throughout labor and delivery.

I had a doula (who is actually a Midwife) with my first VBAC in a hospital but I still want a more natural setting. I want a waterbirth so badly. I know my Midwife is amazing and I trust her but I can't help this dang nervousness. My DH wants to have a homebirth as well. I just wanna know that I am comfortable with my surroundings when the time comes. I labored most of my labor with my first VBAC at home and I felt so comfortable there. I remember when it was time to push all the setting up the OB and nurse did freaked me out!!

Have you watched either Pregnant in America or The Business of Being Born? Have you read Pushed by Jennifer Block? Those might take away your nervousness...

I have to be honest and say that my choice for homebirth didn't start out as something that I just 'wanted' and was comfortable with. The reality was that in my area, the hospitals are not VBAC friendly. I had to make choice of what risks I was willing to take: those from birthing at home or those from birthing at the hospital. With the way hospitals are around here, homebirth vbac was the obvious choice. There were still risks. I was still nervous; but not as nervous as I was thinking of the vbac in the hospital. Just my .02

I hope you are able to find something where you are perfectly comfortable, mama!

I have seen business of being born but not pregnant in america. I will check it out. I have learned so much through these Birth Network Meetings that I have attended and will be attending again. They are held by my Midwife and Chiropractor.
