I think you should push back on that "gotta start by 41 weeks" thing. Of course I hope it doesn't matter, but it's such a shame to stress on the "can't go past date" when you know the problems of a preemie. If you go to 42 weeks, try to labor, and the baby is too big, which isn't very likely) at least you'll know the baby is full term and healthy. It just sounds like you had a VBAC last time because the doctor couldn't stop you, and I'm not sure you're going to get the labor support you need.
(On the bright side, often the Nth baby comes faster than the one before, and they really can't stop you this time, as long as they don't scare you into giving up on yourself.)
I am sure my Dr is VBAC supportive, when she found out I wanted another VBAC the first thing out of her mouth was "this is going to be so fun"

My only piece of advice came from my Bradley class...Have a lot of sex...chemicals in semen helps ripen and soften the cervix....and orgasm can help jump start contractions (when the time is right of course)....
