UPDATE: Not sure what to think

So I had my appt with the actual dr. The office go to has multiple drs that you rotate through. I was so happy to see who I was meeting with today I have always liked her and if I have my choice I would choose her to deliver my baby.
Anyway we discussed my options for VBAC and she was very supportive of it unlike the assistant whos response was they "might let you try but not for long." Essentially it all depends on this baby. If I go into labor naturally and progress well they will let me go for the VBAC. With my DD I did go into labor at home. My water broke on its own so that works in my favor. DD was a bigger baby for "me" She was 8 lbs 5 oz and I am petite, although I have always had big hips.
She said because of my previous experience my success rate is lower than most but she has seen women do it successfully. If there are any complications or I dont go into labor naturally before 39 weeks I can choose to have the C-sec on June 1st.
I just feel so much better about the whole thing after talking to this particular Dr. She seemed supportive of me trying if I want to. She didnt seem like she was being negative at all about it. Only time will tell what this pregnancy will bring and I will raise the question again as I get closer to my due date and we have a better idea of what this baby is going to do.

39 weeks isn't really good under a "no induction" protocol. If you stay with this doctor, I'd take the side of the bet that you will not have a VBAC.

If you aren't having a medical reason to get the baby out (not size or date) there should be no reason not to go as long as 42 weeks.

As I said I felt much better about this appt. The Dr was very informative and was not negative in any way.
The 39 weeks was if I choose to go the route of rcs...based upon size or other circumstances.
If I push wanting the VBac I think they will honor my request.

It's your best guess, but I hope you're not counting on a natural labor before an arbitrary deadline. My sister's first was 6 weeks early, and her second had to be induced at 42 weeks. (For her, the induction worked great, but we know that's not always the case)

I'm glad you feel better about your dr.

There are about 7 drs in my practice 2 are new and I have not met them yet. The others should be on board...however if they arent I can request on over the other if it comes to that.
