Is everyone enjoying a long weekend? I know that here in Canada Good Friday is a holiday & for many, so is Easter Monday esp if they are with the gov`t. I seem to remember when my Mom lived in Az that this wasn't a holiday in many of the States.
I have spent some of today outside enjoying the sun. It`s only been 50 here but it`s been a bright, sunny day. It will be a bit of a strange weekend this year as there is no Easter celebration at our house. I think this is the 1st time in 32 yrs that I haven`t hid Easter eggs. Andrew & Syd have to work this weekend, Noah & his parents are in Florida and so no turkey to roast. I did buy a turkey breast which Ian & I will have tomorrow for dinner. On Sunday, we will go to my parent`s retirement home for brunch. Andrew is able to join us there. We went last year & they do a lovely job putting this on for all the families. Like many of our holiday traditions, things are changing now that the kids have grown up. It`s kinda nice not to have the stress of putting on a big meal.
Noah turned 5 on Wed. It was quite the occasion for him & one he may remember. He spent the day at the Magic Kingdom for his first visit. He told us when we called that it was the best day of his life! Easter has special meaning for our family. Noah came into this world on the Wed before Easter in 2007, 10 wks early. We spent the first 5 days at the hospital praying that he would live in spite of all the problems. We heard the news on Easter Sunday
