A Wedding Story

As I've said-our 3 older kids are married, fortunately successfully & happily first time around. And we dearly love all 3 of our in-law kids.

When our son was getting married, he phoned one day & asked me if I thought Adam would like to be part of the wedding party. Of course I did (& of course, I started to cry at the thought of it). I handed the phone to Adam, & listened in-I was surprised because he was saying "Yes, Okay, Sure-Thanks Marshal-Bye" - I thought he'd be ecstatic. He hung up the phone & turned around & said "Mom, I think I'm getting married". It took me a second-then said "No, No-he wants you to be a GroomsMAN-not the Groom". Adam went "Oh Phew-I mean I like her a lot-but not THAT much". We all had a chuckle! (& when they were measuring him for the tuxedo-I started to cry in the store! And when they pushed his w/c to the alter to await the bride-I was in full sob mode, so when he looked over & gave Mike & I the thumbs up-forget it, the wedding was a blur of tissue & tears!)

Such a cute story Nora. While we often hear how weddings bring out the worst in people, sometimes they clearly bring out the best.
