Since we're talking about books

and I know that some of us have e-readers, I thought I would share these sites that I recently heard about over at the iVillage Books board. They are compiler sites with offers for free or discounted e-books.

The first is BookBub. You sign up to receive a daily email of their offers and you can specify the genres that interest you. They have books available for a variety of platforms. You don't get the book "from" them but you are directed to another site, such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple iBooks etc, to get the download. You can also "Like" them on Facebook to see the offerings that way.

The other site is called Pixel of Ink. It lists offerings only for Kindle, both the Kindle device and the Kindle reading app for other devices. Again you sign up for daily email notification of specials. I didn't see a way to specify genre preferences but since its only for Kindle there may not be as many offerings as at BookBub.

I signed up for both, it looks like there is some duplication in the titles with the same deal. I already got a free book, its not new but rather the first of a series so I'm sure they're trying to get you interested so you'll return and pay for the rest of the series. Whatever!

I'm not sure if or how these sites will work in Canada but it may be worth it for you ladies to check out.

Just like audio and DVDs I get mine via our public library for free- you can have up to 10 at a time.  Love it!
