DD2's surgery was today. The surgeon said that everything went well, it was badly needed.
Recovery so far has been a bit hard on her. In the revcovery room she kept saying that she just wanted to go home and sleep. I told her about the old Catch 22, she could not go home and sleep until they were sure she was fully awake. Got home and she complained that she cannot sleep elevated (she has to stay elevated until her follow up appointment tomorrow). But she as been dozing off and on.
She has multiple drugs to take, plus topical things for her nose and throat. DH is making a spead sheet (that is what geeks do) to keep it all straight. As the nurse explained it is eaiser to try to prevent pain rather fix it so we are back into "new born baby in the house mode" and have to make sure she has a pain pill every 4 hours round the clock. Just like when they were babies, DH will take the late shift, make sure she gets her 1:00 a.m, pill and I get the early shift making sure she gets her 5:00 a.m. one.
