Today is DD1's last radiation treatment.  As she posted on FB,  "Screw you cancer".  It has been a long year for her, she was diagnosed on Feb 1 so almost the entire year was about cancer.   A big celebration is planned.  She said she would not celebrate her 30th birthday with cancer so we are planning a late 30th birthday/Screw cancer party.

When is the party, 'nester?  That sounds like a wonderful end to her long difficult year and a celebration of her birthday.  May this following year be only filled with good things for her and her trials with cancer ended for good.

I can't think of a better reason to celebrate...actually 2 reasons! Turning 30 AND the end of the Cancer treatments. When's the party? Where is she having it? At her place or somewhere fancier/bigger? Make sure you tell her we are all sending our best wishes & congratulations!

The party will be sometime early nest year.   It will be at a Veteran's Center that DH and I are active at.

Hooray for your dd! She (and all of you) has been through so much this year. The big party sounds like a great way to celebrate her milestones. Best wishes to her.

You guys had quite a year, also!  Of course DD1 overcoming her illness was a biggie, but your 2nd DD's relationship has endured, and brought a new "family" into your lives.  How much you have to give thanks for this season.  Good for you all!!
