Hi everybody!

So, my 7 year old son has been signed with a talent agency since October 2012. He has been on only a couple of auditions. They have submitted him electronically for a few other projects but nothing came about them. My son has worked only once, as an extra for Disney. We live in the North Florida area so I understand that it's a smaller market but I can't help but feel a little ehhhh about his agency. As of recently, they are making it mandatory for all of their talent to be registered on a casting website called The Audition Connection. They say that is how they will be doing pretty much all of their submissions. The thing is it costs $10 a month. Is it just me or does this seem not right? Do any of your children's agents require an online casting membership that charges monthly?

This doesn't sound right to me.  You shouldn't have to pay fees like this.  What is the fee for, exactly?  Is it for the website?

The fee is $10 down and then $10 a month and I guess it's to submit talent for projects. It doesn't sound right to me either. The thing is, they have been a decent agency so far but this just doesn't sit well with me. I was just wondering if anyone esle's agency requires something similar. I think I am going to be shopping for a new agency :/

Most casting websites will only charge you a fee if you have the unlimited photo option. Other than that they are usually free. You pay a fee for submissions if you submit without the agency and that is usually .99 cents. Research other agents in your area.  Good luck!
