Hi I am new here and a proud father of a 14yr old daughter.  My daughter has been approached by a representative of Mac Duggal a dress designer out of Chicago to be in a fashion show in July.  That is all I know at the moment this person met with my daughter and wife and they were so happy about the opportunity they really didn't ask any questions.  Now I am not sure about any of this so could anyone help me with questions to ask as you can imagine this scares me to death.

How did the designer find your daughter?  Are you listed with an agency?  If so, have you asked if they had any opinions on this designer or if they'd heard of him?

Most everyone has abandoned this board because it began working so poorly but let me see if I can offer you some advice.  I wouldn't worry too much about her being in one fashion show.  Most fashion shows are run by production companies that specialize in that area.  So she will likely have a fitting, a rehearsal, and will be dealing with the production company.  It will likely be a fun experience and because she's a minor they will most likely allow one parent to accompany her to the job.   Is there something in particular you are worried about?
