I am mom to a 4 yr old little girl with red hair and blue eyes. I have always been told by everyone that she needs to model/act. She is calm and easy to work with. She always follows directions and rarely misbehaves. (I have no idea how I got so lucky) So I brave it and sign her with an agency... she is with cameo kids. Its been over a month and nothing. She is also with an agency out of RI. That has been since the first of the year and nothing. Should I just give up. Here are a couple of links to pics of her. Please give me honest opinions and ideas. I really need advice!

Hi Jamie, I am a Boston mom so I thought I would respond. The one thing I have found you have to have in this industry is patience. There is work in Boston but from what I hear we are not as lucky as the mom's in NY and on the west coast where there is much more work. There are a ton of children in modeling in Boston and not quite as many jobs. Wait until you get called to an audition, most I have been to have been cattle calls where they shoot over 150 kids in one day! I would hang in there, sounds like you haven't been signed very long. We went for months and months before we were called for anything. The agencies I am sure are sending out her pictures, you just have to sit and wait until the phone rings. It seems right now is the time where things start to pick up, I think winters tend to slow down. Good luck, there are a few moms on the board that have had a lot of luck in Boston so that is encouraging. So my advice is hang in there, if you haven't been signed that long it does take time sometimes before you are sent out.

P.S. My children were accepted by two agencies as well, however, we only went with one. From what the more experienced moms on this board told me was that agencies don't like to have you signed with another agency. Just thought I would tell you what I was told. The other moms I think will fill you in on this one. I think a few had experiences like that.
