I saw this on another board, and kind of an offshoot of yesterday's question. Talking about words of wisdom your mother provided. Everyone else has sage advice that their mother passed down. My mother is atypical. So for a little humour I thought I will reference

This was so funny to me...my beloved Mom was always and I mean ALWAYS doing this to me...I was a bit of a "tom-boy" not much in to make-up...LOVED to play foot-ball, hung around my brother's friends in high school and had guy friends not b/f's..definitely not "girly-girly" and she tried to manage my Social Life which is so funny...I end up agreeing to go to things and then when I started to exercise my independence she got mad...gotta love her!
I think she had better luck with my little sister...;)...:)
Sometimes I wish she could have seen me when I finally got to go to college as a Single Mom of two kids my dd and ds.
I know she would have been proud, I knew she always felt bad when I didn't go after high school, I got a job to help out our family at home...
Since losing my job and some health issues I am thinking of going back to school in September 2010...I am doing this for me but I know she will be cheering me on.
