YEAH!! When I got my new road bike in January it had been 15 years since I had ridden!

I was a disaster at first LOL! I was really surprised that even though I was in good overall shape, it was really tough at first. Biking is one of those things that you just need lots of "T.I.T.S" (time in the saddle to cyclists) But its addicting once you get started!

Definitely do a bit of research about fit, that is the #1 key to biking, both for success and comfort. I had my bike professionally fit when I got it, but I've still had to adjust that a little. Most people err on putting their seat too high, you need a bit of bend in your knee, even at the full downstroke point. If your seat is too high, you will rock your hips to reach the bottom and you don't want that.

"tits" seems to be a bigger problem! LOL As in, my knees hit mine on the up stroke when pedalling! LOL I have bend in my knee going down but it comes up WAY too high coming over the top of the pedal. I'm a little worried to not have a sissy bar and may have to sell this one (it's probably worth a LOT more than we paid for it, it's a beer bike!) and got a silly girls bike. I've got my eye on a pretty pink cruiser..... LOL I'll take pics when I can, it's really a beer bike. Anyway, in light of yesterdays trial run, I'm not so sure I'm ready for any kind of outing that involves the bike. We planned to go ride this bridge that's supposed to be a really nice ride. I think I'll drop the kids and honey off at one end, sit in the car and study then pick them up at the other end! LOL
