Late Night Studying

Who else does the majority of studying late at night?  It's really just about the only time I can seem to get any of it done.  I just finished an assignment, but I think I drank too much coffee because now I can't sleep.  Oops.

I only get studying or homework completed during my son's nap time or after he is asleep around 9 to midnight. Definitely can be exhausted when you finally get the chance to relax to fully concentrate on school work!

I completely understand! I've started going to class quite a bit early in the mornings so that I can have some kid-free time to work on school stuff. I find it especially hard to do anything that involves a computer while my boys are awake. And if I have reading to do online....oh, that I HAVE to put off till later, lol. My problem, though, is coffee doesn't help keep me awake! I don't know how many times I've fallen asleep while trying to read lately. And the last two weeks I was trying to read for exams....yeah, that was NOT fun!

I try to avoid night work as much as possible b/c I'm not an evening person Lol, I used to take night classes and get home around 9:00, that sometimes gave me the second wind to get things done later but it wasn't on a regular basis! I wish I had a schedule, Papers are due for my online class by midnight on the date they're due but I've never been up that late to get them done. I agree the best time to tackle it is when children are asleep or for me, when they're in school b/c I have this house all to myself. I sometimes go to the school library too, There's a computer lab there and a printer that's in better shape than mine if I need to print something!

Yes, 9 to midnight is my most productive time as well. And the weekends. I like to lock myself in a bedroom on the weekends. Well, I don't really like to lock myself in a room for the weekend, but it seems to be the best time to get things done that I can't finish during the regular week.

Oh, I hadn't considered trying to do some work early in the mornings. That actually might work out a bit better. That's too bad about the coffee not helping to keep you awake. I don't know how I would function without it. The problem, though, is it doesn't seem to wear off by the time I'm ready to go to sleep. I could stay awake for an extra hour or two due to the caffeine overload!

I wish I could visit the school library. I'm three hours from campus, so that's not going to work. Luckily, a few years ago I invested in a small laser printer. I think it was under $100, and it's really easy on the toner. One toner cartridge seems to last well over a year.
