Since Canada is hosting this year, it is particularly exciting. I used to live in Vancouver - so it hits home with me.
We are going to watch the opening ceremony, I like figure skating, dh will watch hockey for sure, and dd wants to watch snowboarding.

Probably not. Not too into any of the winter sports...I love track, swimming, triathlon etc. in the summer Olympics. I guess the sports I DO interest me most lol! But even then I rarely sit and watch, but I rarely sit and watch anything on TV, I don't have the patience for it.
But its funny, my dh and were talking about it the other day after the Super Bowl, but IF I were to watch sports, it would certainly be something like the Olympics vs. professional American sports. I just can't get "into" a team or the idea since they are making those millions per year. I have much more respect for the non-pro athletes than the pros. It was kind of sad to watch all the people in NO who were so emotional about the Saints winning...um, those dudes on that team don't give a darn about Louisiana or NO. That's just where their paycheck comes from. Tell them they'd have to play for NO next year for free...they'd all run off. Those guys don't win for their cities, they win for their own glory and their pocketbooks.
