Really??

So how does my Monday morning officially start?

Pour rain, 6:30am, loaded everyone in the car to drive ds to the bus stop so he doesn't have to stand in the rain. Put the car in reverse, start to back out of the driveway...hear a lug, lug, crunch, crunch. Immediately stop and pull back forward, hearing an even worse squealing, crunching, grinding noise. Get out, look under the car:

There is a scooter WEDGED under the car between the back tire and the bumper. Totally wedged. Can't pry it out, can't budge it. Car undriveable (yes, I know that is not really a word) Ds had to walk in the rain to the bus stop, but it was his damn scooter that he left right behind my car, so I really didn't feel a bit sorry for him.

How many freaking times do you need to tell a kid not to leave a bike, scooter, etc. right behind your car?????

Hopefully dh can get it out, he may have to cut it up with the saws-all to unwedge it. So no gym for me until after he gets home.

Oh - and now I have to walk dd to the bus stop in the POURING rain rather than drive and stand there with her. Yeah.

That is horrible !

I can't believe it is stuck like that.

Kids on our street do that do. We have one kid who I swear starts driving to my house when I am backing up.

I hope your dh can fix it.

oh, man! That really is wedged in there. The reciprocating saw should get right through that. I used mine to cut through some old metal shelving and it worked like a charm.

Dh came home about 2 hours later to fix it (work is 30 miles from home and he made a trip just to deal with this)

Took about two seconds to saw it in half and get it out. So I think all is well and I don't think it did any damage to my tire.
