Many of us are already thinking
We have 6 days left (including the weekend)
Funny you mentioned Smurfs, I didn't even know they were still around.
If they do not use text books then what do they use?
For me they get books but the teachers claim to never like them and basically force us to go out and buy all new books per their own specifications.
Victoria started back at school today.
Looks like she had her hair all fluffed, yes?
That's just how her hair goes naturally when it's not tied back - she has a lot of hair! Yes we do buy new things for school but the school jumper you have to buy from the school and it's only for sale at certain times of year (Jan and May) , same for polo shirts. The trousers/pants from last year fit and as this is her last year at that school (equivalent of elementary) there is no need to buy lots of new uniforms. We did buy one skirt which she may or may not wear. She has got new shoes - not classed as school shoes but she refuses to wear school shoes so why waste a lot of money on them? Yes, school bags are a problem. I'd prefer her to have a back pack but so many girls have shoulder bags which are shopping bag size and not as structured as messengar bags.School provides all the books, and notebooks, but most things are on worksheets
