That's a new one to me.

But I think I remember reading this very old, Bird n Bee's book at a friend's house and it mentioned things like no baths during your monthly.

I'll have to think about old wive's tales, Tulip. RIght now I can't think of anything!

I do go out with wet hair, even in winter. I can rarely be bothered to blow dry my hair by myself (living in Asia really spoils me.) It bothered a few people. One Japanese friend gave me his really nice and powerful hair dryer when he left Italy LOLOL!

I definitely don't go out with wet hair or to bed with wet hair (I had a discussion on another board about this and was really surprised that anyone did!)

Well, even though the wet hair wives tale was around when I was younger I still went out, dead winter, with wet hair at times.

I remember leaving to catch the bus with wet hair, too. The ends of my hair even froze once or twice. I don't think I ever got sick from going outside with wet hair, though.

DD has to finish her dinner at least an hour before going to swimming class!! I wouldn't bother if she was just going to play in the pool but for serious swimming she doesn't eat beforehand!

I think it's a cutural thing! I don't know anyone here who would go out with wet hair except in mid summer but it seems to be pretty normal in the US where some people I know don't have hairdryers.

I don't think it has much to do with a lack of a hair dryer.

I think I read somewhere that the old wives tale about food and swimming right after came from people getting cramps while swimming.
