Myths and Facts of raising bilingual kids

I don't know about you guys, but I heard my fair share of "It will confuse the kids to learn more than one language at once" and funnily heard it back home in Switzerland where we have four national languages, and here in India where there are 2 national languages and about 15 or so official regional languages.
Though of course I also have a lot of people encouraging me and telling me that no it isn't confusing and wasn't confusing for their kiddos to be exposed to 2 and more languages from birth.
