Do any of you know the "Daniel et Valerie" (please excuse the missing accent marks) books? I saw some pictures and love them. Do you think they'd be appropriate for a German-English bilingual child to become familiar with a "foreign" language? Do you think it would be difficult to find audio recordings to accompany any of the books?
The pictures are just too cute. I need a reason to find and buy them. ;-)

(I speak French so can understand what the websites say - but other than that don't know anything about the books! If your French is good enough to pronounce the words they might be ok but as the main way of learning a second language, I don't know.)
Wait! These books are 30 years old? How come I never heard of them ever? They weren't around in my home growing up, my mom might not have known about it because she made sure there were enough books in the house to turn us into bookworms from an early age :-)
