Easter Weekend

Are you doing anything special for Easter this year?  We're not traveling.  We'll just be spending the day with family.  The kids' Easter baskets are pretty much ready to go.  I think this is the first time I haven't done any last minute shopping for the baskets!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Jen!

Easter was interesting here. My husband's family was planning on getting together and building a cover for my MILs back deck so he was going to take my step-son and I was going to stay home and watch our youngest and the dogs. So I didn't have anything ready b/c it was just going to be Robbie and I (and the dogs). Well, they cancelled on like Thursday before Easter so I had to plan and shop and run like a mad woman to have something to eat and have a basket for both my son and step-son. They didn't get the usual spread in their baskets but they were ok with it. It turned out to be a nice weekend.

I was as lazy as could be.    I invited my family out to lunch instead of my house.   I didn't feel up to cooking a big family meal.  Thankfully my grandsons like going out to eat - so they enjoyed it.

My DDs were surprised. . .seems they were telling someone at school they wanted to try peeps, and they were hoping for plastic eggs with money in it.    I don't know how it all worked out, but magically that was what was in their Easter baskets this year.    Here I thought the bunny was being lazy - but someone it was spot on.
