On paper my plans for today are breakfast at Chef Mickeys, followed by a trip to DTD for the movie Tangled. Later dinner at 'Ohana. :) But, alas I have a family. . . . . .

So here is my lovely family waiting for the boat to take us to the Contemporary Photobucket

A few pics along the Contemporary grounds Photobucket Photobucket

The M&Ms begged for a pic of this bird on the pole. Photobucket

The had some neat decorations in the waiting area of Chef Mickey's. :) If you look closely you can see various cooking utensils on the wreath & tree Photobucket Photobucket

The girls made themselves totally at home while we waited Photobucket

Breakfast! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

The girls then wanted their pics taken with their chairs. John rolled his eyes at me and said "look what you and your camera are doing to our daughters". :) Photobucket Photobucket

Then we had characters. . . . Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Maddie did her best to make John smile. . . I think it worked. Photobucket

They received cupcakes and then joined in the napkin twirling. . . . Photobucket Photobucket

Finally we saw the big Cheese himself. Photobucket

One of the Christmas trees in the lobby of the Contemporary Photobucket

So. . . .where are we heading next? Photobucket

No! Not a cliffhanger!!! Awwwww.

So this was your first time at CM's, right? Looks like you enjoyed yourselves. I love the pic with the little face in the mickey chair. Sweet!

That big mickey thing, with the ears -that's cool! Looks very neat.

Ok, now we have to wait to find out if you made it to Tangled! Somehow, I think you did, because I'll bet the girls were excited for that! John, though, maybe not so much. Hmmm.....

Aww, poor Mickie. Glad you were able to save the day. I felt the same way about CM's that you did. I didn't see it as being all that wonderful. Hannah was having a hissy fit while we were there and while we were trying to keep up the joy of it, it just wasn't that fun to me. But then when I asked them after the trip where their favorite restaurant was, they both said CM's and it really shocked me. I thought the character interaction at Tusker was just as good (for the most part. Goofy was better at CM's) and the food certainly was better at Tusker and so many more choices. But maybe they liked riding on the monorail or loved how colorful it was? IDK. They just liked it I guess.

The M&Ms loved the escalators (they called them calculators).

We liked O'hana breakfast too. Hannah wasn't feeling well, but she was so excited to see her "Stitchy" so that made it fun. And Mickey decided to wear DH's husker hat. I'd say our have to's really only amount to Tusker House and only because I loved it and I'd be the one making the ADR, lol! There are so many places that I want to try that I'd be ok not redoing too many. I really enjoyed the sci fi, but it had a lot to do with our waitress. She was awesome. The food at Coral Reef was probably my second favorite. I liked that restaurant a lot. I'd go there again.

I agree about CM. We like Ohana a lot better but Robbie really loved CM, go figure. David and I enjoy Ohana a lot more, better food and better character interaction. I think Crystal Palace is better too. I will have to say that our very favorite breakfast ever was Liberty Tree Tavern this past January. The characters were the best we have ever seen and the food was wonderful. It's sad that it's not a character meal anymore. We'll have to make it to 1900 PF one of these days. :)

Hummm.....where did you go??? I hope you made it to Tangled. :)

I bet I know ;)...

What a great breakfast and a great way to start the day.

Is the napkin twirling a regular thing here?

In peace,
